“La vie en rose” at Bodegas Vicente Gandía

Two rosé wines from the Valencian winery obtained great recognition in two of the best competitions in the world

Bobal Rosa by Pepe Hidalgo and El Miracle Nº 5 Rosé are the two winning rosé wines at the IWSC held in the United Kingdom and at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, two of the most prestigious international wine competitions.

The IWSC (International Wine and Spirits Competition) has awarded El Miracle Nº 5 rosé 93 points, a very high score, because this contest is one of the strictest when it comes to scoring wines. Its tasting panel is made up of great experts, including specialized critics in the sector, oenologists, sommeliers and great personalities related to the oenological industry. Obtaining a high score in this contest guarantees great visibility in order to obtain a very high reputation among buyers of large food and restaurant chains in many countries.

On the other hand, the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is now organized in 4 different sessions to evaluate each type of wine in a professional way. The evaluations are carried out by specialized experts selected for their knowledge and their ability to taste all types of wines according to their peculiarities. In the rosé wine session, Bobal Rosa by Pepe Hidalgo won the gold medal. A great recognition for a wine that was recently presented and that in its first weeks of operation has already achieved great acceptance.

El Miracle nº5 Rosé is pale pink colour, its bouquet displays the strawberry characteristics so characteristic of the Bobal grape variety and its lively fruit is confirmed on the palate with a refreshing acidity. The intense strawberry flavours linger on the finish.

Vicente Gandía Bobal Rosa by Pepe Hidalgo, is a very pale pink color with coppery reflections. On the nose it expresses delicate aromas of rose, red fruit and grapefruit. In the mouth it is agile, fresh and very pleasant and unctuous to drink.

These are great times for rosé wines and in particular for those from Bodegas Vicente Gandía, these well-deserved recognitions highlight their commitment to their new style with the project led by their technical director Pepe Hidalgo, one of the best winemakers in the country.
