Berliner Wein Trophy

Harvest of medals for the wines of Bodegas Vicente Gandía in Germany

Berliner Wein Trophy recognizes the excellent quality of the wines from the Valencian winery.

Berliner Wine Trophy has become the most important and largest international wine competition globally. Every year it brings together renowned experts from around the world who score more than 14,000 references from all over the world each year. Recently, the contest has made public the results of 2021, awarding a Gold Medal to three wines from Vicente Gandía wineries: El Miracle Nº1, Hoya de Cadenas Reserva Privada and Nebla Verdejo.

Nebla Verdejo expresses the freshness and zest of daybreak after a night harvest. This superb and unique combination of the night-time chill, the mist (“niebla” in Spanish) and the morning sun results in this single-varietal 100% Verdejo that is fully fruity and fresh on the palate. An attractive straw-yellow colour with greenish iridescences. Its nose offers everything that could be expected from the Verdejo variety: fennel, freshly mown hay and tropical fruits (pineapple and mango). On the palate it is buttery with a fine fruity finish and refreshing acidity.

Nebla Verdejo is recognized with the gold medal in the Berliner Wein Trophy, which is added to the long list of awards that this wonderful wine has obtained since it was launched on the market. Nebla Verdejo never ceases to amaze consumers from all over the world.

El Miracle Nº1 Intense red color with violet hues. On the nose aromas of ripe red fruits, plum and caramel notes emerge. On the palate, its great structure stands out, with soft tannin and a persistent finish.

The Gold medal in the Berliner Wein Trophy is the first major recognition for this wine that was launched on the market in 2020. Miracles are nothing more than extraordinary events, and life is full of them. Sometimes the extraordinary happens, you just have to provoke it.

Hoya de Cadenas Reserva Privada, It has an intense cherry color. On the nose it has an aroma rich in complex nuances, with hints of cocoa, roasted and red fruits. In the mouth we find a fleshy wine, with an excellent blend between the sweet tannins of the fruit and the dry tannins of the wood.

The gold medal in the Berliner Wein Trophy adds another recognition to the extensive track record of this iconic wine, which is one of the benchmarks in Valencian oenology.
