Vicente Gandía expands its collection “Art in Barrel” with a work by the sculptor of Xàbia Toni Marí

The “Art in Barrel” collection located at the Hoya de Cadenas Estate brings together the world of contemporary art and the world of wine in the same place.

The artist Toni Marí has designed for Bodegas Vicente Gandía a beautiful sculpture in the shape of a vine that holds a barrel on its top. The “forger of space” as the artist likes to define himself, he has used wrought iron for this work, an element that he dominates to perfection. The rotundity of this material together with the freshness in its execution, make this work reach the viewer immediately since it masterfully executes the mastery of volumes.

Bodegas Vicente Gandía has always understood wine as an art form and proof of this is the “Arte en Barrica” museum, a spectacular collection of barrels customized by the best Valencian artists. The collection is part of the proposal that the Valencian winery offers its visitors at the “Finca Hoya de Cadenas”, the wine tourism center of Bodegas Vicente Gandía, an oenological paradise located in Las Cuevas de Utiel, in the heart of the appellation of origin Utiel-Requena.

In addition to visiting the museum, you can live the experience of knowing the wine-making process, immerse yourself in the magic of blending of the aging room with more than 10,000 barrels and tour the vineyards on the wine train. An exciting world of sensations that is an experience for the senses that you can now book online on the page.

Toni Marí’s barrel joins those already existing in the “Arte en Barrica” collection by Carmen Calvo, Miquel Navarro, Javier Mariscal, Paco Roca, Luís Francisco Esplá, Javier Chapa, Cari Roig, José Morea, Cuqui Guillén, Mavi Escamilla , Oscar Mora, Uiso Alemany, Monique Bastiaans, Román de Soto, Artur Heras, Uiso Alemany, Sebastiá Nicolau, José Sanleón, Joan Verdú or Vicent Peris.
