Social Area The Environment
Corporate outlook today has moved on from the traditional practices of viewing profit as the sole corporate objective. Today’s companies must legitimise themselves in the society of which they form part. Not only in economic terms; they must also win and keep the trust of the people they deal with and who require them to take into account new social and environmental considerations. Today this is termed Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): giving back to society some of what society gives to the company.

CSR plays a part in society’s development for the future; it contributes to evening out social inequalities and increasing companies’ competitiveness and corporate reputation and image, both internal and external. Incorporating CSR practices into Vicente Gandía Winery’s activities means taking on board the values and concerns of the individuals who make up society. We are aware that from our position we can contribute to improving the society of which we are part. For this reason, our concept of CSR has been incorporated into the company as an essential part of it; it is also taken into account for planning and coordinating the winery’s operations.

Vicente Gandía Winery backs promoting a CSR model which involves active commitment to the social, economic and environmental improvement of our society, to the welfare of the least privileged sectors of society – as shown by the projects we have undertaken to date – and to adopting and using production techniques which respect the environment.

We believe that the business world must be ever more sensitive to objectives that go beyond simple profit and loss. By backing commitments to support society, commitments that are ongoing rather than sporadic, we will be on the right road to creating solidarity.
